A 25 minutes goal separated the Czech Republic and Super Eagles of Nigeria as the Russia 2018 World Cup team continues its losing streak days before the commencement of the world football fiesta.

The game ended 1-0 in favour of Czech Republic.

The Nigerian side parading its probable first 11 are putting up a rag tag pattern of play as strikers Alex Iwobi, Odion Ighalo and Victor Moses are finding it difficult to penetrate the vital area of the Czech side.

A defensive lapse saw the Czech attacker heading in a free ball to put the opponent ahead.

On resumption of the second half, the Super Eagles mounted pressure on the opponent with the introduction of Kelechi Iheanacho, Ahmed Musa and Elderson Echejile. But the Czech defence proved too sturdy for the Nigerian side.

At things stand, Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has a lot of work to do if the team must advance from the slippery Group D which comprises Croatia (its first opponent on June 16), Iceland and Argentina.
