Ezekwesili, Durotoye endorse The Power of One

 

TWO presidential candidates for next months presidential election in Nigeria, Oby Ezekwesiki of Allied Congress Party of Nigeria (ACPN) and Fela Durotoye of Alliance for New Nigeria Party (ANN), have endorsed the Power of 1 movie, which was recently released for the cinemas on December 28 2018.

The movie directed  by awarding Mr. Izu Ojukwu with Mr. Efe Omorogbe, the executive producer who also wrote  the story of the picture, was sponsored by 2baba Foundation and others.
Both presidential aspirants graced the screening of the movie at Grand Cinemas Lekki on Saturday, Dececember12, 2018 where they also engaged  movie aficionados one on one on the reasons they should cast their votes for them .
Speaking to journalists after seeing the movie that parades the likes of Alex Ekubo as the lead actor, Ramsey Nouha, Jide Kosoko, 2baba’s wife, Annie, Ezekwesili commended them for a job well done. For using the two hours plus flick to interpret the sufferings in the land.
“It was a beautiful interpretation of the  goings-on in the land and I encourage everybody to go see the movie. How I wish it will be showing  at a place like the National Stadium for more people to see it.
” Though planned protest did not hold as we saw in the movie, we also saw that the mere plan to hold the protest shook the authority. That is the real power in one person, So we need not be docile; we must do something to show that we are not comfortable with the present situation. She further said that the 2baba protest which was planned last year whether it held or not, made a powerful statement which was a talking point in government circle and the social media. She then ended by quoting a Noble Laureate who said that the opposite of love is not hate but docility to illustrate the present situation of Nigerians who do nothing at face of injustice and impunity walking in  all fours in Nigeria.
On his part, Durotoye called on the people to flush out all the old people and regular faces that have brought the country to ground zero.
He hailed those behind  the movie for a good job done stressing that the movie has shown that one person can make a difference.

The screening was also attended by 2baba with some members of his family and Efe Omorogbe.
